Can you feel it? That shift in the air, the longer evenings, the urge to wear something bold and step outside with your whole chest — summer is officially here, and we are NOT taking it for granted.
At LABEL, summer isn’t just a season — it’s a state of mind. It’s the time to pour into yourself, show up for your community, explore, create, connect, and celebrate everything that makes you who you are. So we put together the ultimate summer guide to help you go into this season feeling your absolute best.
“Summer is the universe giving you permission to be your most vibrant, most unapologetic, most joyful self. Take it.”
Glow up from the inside out 💆🏾
Before the outfits, before the events, before anything else — how are you feeling? Summer is the perfect reset. More sunshine means more vitamin D, more opportunities to move your body, eat well, and actually rest. This season, make a promise to yourself to prioritise your wellbeing.
Whether that’s a morning walk before the heat kicks in, trying a new recipe with fresh seasonal produce, drinking more water (yes, we’re reminding you 💧), or simply taking time to breathe — your health is your wealth. Always.
LABEL tip: Try swapping one evening scroll session for a walk outside. Twenty minutes of fresh air does more for your mood than you think. 🌿
Dress like you mean it 👗
Summer is the season of colour, print, and pure self-expression. Ankara prints, bold accessories, linen sets, platform sandals — whatever makes you feel like the main character, wear it. Life is too short for beige energy in July.
And while you’re refreshing your wardrobe — why not shop from businesses within our community? The LABEL directory is full of talented designers, stylists, and boutique owners who would love your support this season. Investing in each other is always in style. 🛍️
Fill your summer with the right energy 🤝
Summer is peak season for connection. Dinners on terraces, park hangs, community events, new friendships — this is the time to put yourself out there. Whether you’re naturally social or more of an introvert who loves a good small gathering, make space for the people who uplift you.
Discover new music — build a summer playlist that reflects your culture and your mood. Afrobeats, Amapiano, Soca, R&B — let it play.
Read something inspiring — grab a book by a Black author, sit in the sun, and feed your mind. Summer reading hits differently.
Try new food — host a summer cookout, visit a new restaurant, or finally try that recipe you’ve been saving. Good food is community.
Capture the moments — document your summer, not for the ‘gram but for you. These are the memories you’ll look back on with a big smile.
Set your summer intentions 🌺
What do you actually want from this summer? Not what you think you should want — what do YOU want? More rest? A new skill? A business idea brought to life? Quality time with people you love? Write it down. Be specific. Summer with intention hits completely differently to summer by default.
Here’s a quick exercise — write down one answer to each of these:
1. One thing I want to learn this summer
2. One person I want to reconnect with
3. One place I want to explore
4. One goal I want to make real progress on
5. One way I want to show up for my community
LABEL is here to support your journey all summer long — from connecting you with community events, to amplifying your business, to giving you a space to belong. That’s what we’re here for. 🖤
Show up for the community ✊🏾
Summer is when Luxembourg comes alive with events, markets, festivals, and gatherings. This is YOUR season to be present — to support Black and diaspora-owned businesses, to show up at community events, to introduce yourself to someone new, and to be the energy you want to see in the room.
The LABEL community is made up of incredible individuals — entrepreneurs, creatives, leaders, parents, dreamers — all showing up and building something together. This summer, let’s make it count.
However you’re spending your summer — whether it’s travelling, working, building, resting, or simply soaking it all in — we hope it’s full of joy, warmth, and moments that remind you of exactly how good life can be. 🌞
From all of us at LABEL — have the most beautiful summer. You deserve every bit of it. 🖤

There is a feeling you get at BLOCCS that is hard to put into words.
It is the smell of jerk chicken drifting across Kirchberg on a warm July afternoon. It is the sound of Afrobeats spilling out of the main stage and into the streets. It is a child seeing a vendor who looks like them, selling something they made with their own hands, and understanding — maybe for the first time — that their community is here, that it is real, that it belongs.
That feeling is what BLOCCS is built on. And this summer, we are bringing it back bigger, bolder and more beautiful than ever.
**BLOCCS 2026 takes place on Sunday 5th July 2026, from 11am to 7pm at Kirchberg Amphitheater, Luxembourg City. Entry is completely free — all day, for everyone.**

## What Is BLOCCS?
BLOCCS stands for **Build. Learn. Opportunity. Cultural. Community. Sharing.**
It is Luxembourg’s only Afro-Caribbean open-air festival — a free, family-friendly celebration of the music, food, culture, entrepreneurship and community spirit of the African and Caribbean diaspora right here in the heart of Europe.
In 2025, 645 people came through our gates. They came as strangers and left as family. Our vendors sold out. Our performers brought the crowd to their feet. Our kids’ area was full of laughter from morning to evening. And when we asked our community how they felt about the day, they gave us an NPS score of 82 — one of the highest ratings an event like ours can achieve.
In 2026, we are going further. We are targeting 2,000 attendees. We are expanding our vendor market, our stage programme and our community spaces. And we want you to be part of it.

## Three Ways to Be Part of BLOCCS 2026
### 🎪 Become a Vendor
Do you have a business, a craft, a food idea or a service you want the world to know about? BLOCCS is your stage.
Our vendor market is one of the most vibrant parts of the day — a colourful, buzzing marketplace where small business owners from Luxembourg’s African and Caribbean community come to trade, connect and grow. In 2025 we had 28 vendors. In 2026, we want 40 or more.
Whether you make jewellery, cook Caribbean food, offer beauty services, sell clothing, or run a creative business of any kind — there is a place for you at BLOCCS. Vendor pitches are affordable and accessible, and our team will support you every step of the way.
**This could be the day that changes your business.**

### 🙌 Become a Volunteer
Behind every great community event is a team of people who show up — not for the glory, but because they believe in something bigger than themselves.
Our volunteers are the heartbeat of BLOCCS. They are the first faces attendees see when they arrive. They are the ones keeping the kids’ area running, helping vendors set up, directing the crowd and making sure every single person who walks through our gates feels welcomed, seen and celebrated.
Volunteering at BLOCCS is more than giving your time. It is joining a movement. It is building friendships that last long after the music stops. It is standing up and saying: *this community matters, and I am going to help it shine.*
If you have energy, a smile and a desire to make a difference — we need you.
**Every volunteer receives a BLOCCS 2026 t-shirt, food and drinks on the day, and our eternal gratitude.**

Why This Platform Matters
In a landscape where representation is still evolving, visibility is not just important — it is essential. The LABEL website serves as a central hub where individuals, businesses, and communities can come together with purpose.
It creates space to:
Discover and support Black-owned businesses
Stay connected to events and opportunities
Build meaningful professional and social networks
Access a growing ecosystem rooted in culture and community
More importantly, it ensures that our stories, achievements, and contributions are not only seen — but valued and sustained.
From Community to Ecosystem
What began as a series of events has grown into something much bigger.
LABEL is evolving into a platform that brings together:
Culture, through experiences that celebrate identity
Entrepreneurship, through visibility and opportunity
Community, through connection and shared spaces
Legacy, through intentional growth and long-term impact
The website is a reflection of that evolution — a place where all these elements come together.
Building with Intention
Every part of this platform has been designed with purpose.
From the business directory to the events page, from membership to future programming — the goal is simple: to create access, amplify voices, and strengthen community.
This is not just about what exists today. It is about what we are building for the future.
What Comes Next
The launch of the LABEL website is only the beginning.
As the platform grows, so will the opportunities:
More businesses featured
More events and experiences
Expanded youth and community programming
Stronger partnerships and collaborations
This is a living platform — one that will continue to evolve with the community it serves.
A Collective Vision
LABEL is built on the belief that when people come together with intention, we create more than success — we create legacy.
This website is an invitation:
To connect.
To contribute.
To be part of something bigger.
Welcome to LABEL.
